This was a fun tractor to do. For
some reason people I spoke with find the David Brown tractors a bit hard
to work on. True, there is a lot of work to removing the motor but the
engine itself was not hard to overhaul. No sleeves in these motor.
They are a bored block and this one we had bored out to .020 overbore.
A new crankshaft, water pump, rebuilt injectors and a cylinder head
valve job. This late model tractor has a Bosch injection
pump. Seems you can change your CAV or Simms pump over to a Bosch
if you wish.
