DID YOU DO IT?
DID YOU DRIVE THE MIGHTY MAC ON YOUR TRACTOR?
DID YOU MAKE IT ALL THE WAY?
DID YOU "ENJOY THE RIDE"
Attn: I had no plans to cross the bridge on a tractor this year.
However, that is a possibility for the 2012, 5th anniversary.
We hope you all had
a memorable weekend and we are looking forward to the 2012 event.
This event wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the
co-operation of all involved. From the tractor participants, their
families, friends, Antique tractor clubs, to the Michigan State Police,
Mackinaw City Police, St. Ignace Police, Mackinac County Sheriff Dept.
Michigan DOT
and the Mackinac Bridge Authority. Mackinaw City, St. Ignace, Kewadin
Shores Casino, Darrow Construction. And the spectators who travel from
all over to enjoy a part of our American Heritage that still lives on
today.
These tractors are the foundation that today's farms are built on. Their
place in history must be kept alive.
Because of you, this event works.
Sincerely: Robert Baumgras

Drivers were from all over Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois,
Wisconsin and Ontario Canada. One driver told me he drove his
vehicle 600 miles, one way to
get there. Some tractor drivers drove their tractors 300+ miles to
get there. They left on Monday and were there Wednesday afternoon.
Then they drove their tractors back. Now that's devotion to your
hobby.
